Elements and Performance Criteria
Performance Evidence
Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:
locates and applies relevant legislation, documentation, policies and proceduresimplements the requirements, procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient implementation of mine fixed plant and infrastructure systems including:identifying and addressing training needs implementing hazard identification and risks assessment processesmanaging work planning and coordination activitiesaccessing, interpreting and applying manufacturer’s instructionsaccessing, interpreting and applying:technical informationbriefings and handover detailssite/legislative requirementsrecords and reportsapplying maintenance survey proceduresworks effectively with others to implement mine fixed plant and infrastructure systems including:providing team leadershipmanaging people and processesresolving conflictcoordinating human, financial and physical resources developing, initiating and administering work plansinterpreting and applying operational performance dataengaging internal and external stakeholders demonstrates completion of the implementation of mine fixed plant and infrastructure systems that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:identification and selection of viable options for the implementation of mine fixed plant and infrastructure systems that best meet the required outcomes through:accessing, interpreting and applying safety design features of the systemsaccessing, interpreting and applying maintenance and modification systems implementation requirements and proceduresidentifying and interpreting all aspects of mine fixed plant including a minimum of three (3) of the following:crushersscreensconveyorsfeederscoal or waste handling systemsidentifying all aspects of the mine infrastructure systems including a minimum of five (5) of the following:roads and railwaysdamsfencingstockpile/product bayssalvage areareticulation systemscar parkcommunicationspower supplytailingsbuildingsimplementing installation and commissioning procedures for fixed plant and infrastructure managing the audit and review processes
